MY STORY

My son, Travis, at the age of 28 passed away unexpectedly. Soon after his death, I began lighting a candle daily paying tribute to his beautiful life lived and assuring that his memory will not be forgotten.  While burning these inexpensive candles, I soon became aware of the harmful toxins I was releasing into the air and the environmental waste I was producing. I turned to Social Media to educate myself on creating clean burning, non-toxic, and eco-friendly candles. 

My candle making hobby quickly became my new passion or "purpose" if you will. I wanted to do this for Travis and about Travis. Every aspect of my brand is a tribute to Travis. My mission is keeping memories alive with scents also known as the Proustian Moment.

The COMPONENTS OF MY BRAND:

NAME:  NICELYMADE CO. Designed after our last name NICELY.

TIN VESSELS: Travis' nickname was the TINMAN. White TIN for my angel son and blue TIN because blue was his favorite color.

LOGO: TINMAN WITH HOCKEY STICK was designed by a friend of Travis' for an American Heart Assoc. 5k walk he was honored at. Travis was asked to come up with a drawing that represented who he is. The TINMAN was his nickname and the hockey stick represented the huge sports fan he was. The Columbus Blue Jackets was a favorite.

 The TRAVIS COLLECTION are two scents that remind me of Travis. 

First, HEAVENLY, this is a clean, floral, angelic scent that makes me think of Travis sitting on a white fluffy cloud with his wings flouncy in the crisp clean air holding a bouquet of white flowers.  For every HEAVENLY candle sold, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION in Travis' memory.

The second scent is DIRNDL & LEDERHOSEN. Travis favorite vacation was when he traveled with his father and cousin to Germany to attend the Munich Oktoberfest. He had such a memorable time he purchased a souvenir, a pair of  Lederhosens. He not only wore the lederhosen at the Oktoberfest but he had great fun wearing them at home in Columbus,Ohio.  DIRNDL & LEDERHOSEN fragrance is a smoky cannabis scent with notes of leather, cedar, apples and warm spices. For every DIRNDL & LEDERHOSEN candle sold, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to THE EPILEPSY FOUNDATION in Travis' memory.
